Benefits of Adult Speech Therapy:

  • Improves communication: Whether it's difficulty speaking clearly, finding the right words, or understanding others, therapy can help rebuild essential communication skills.

  • Enhances quality of life: Being able to express your thoughts, wants, and needs promotes independence and emotional well-being.

  • Supports cognitive-linguistic function: Therapy can strengthen memory, problem-solving, attention, and other thinking skills impacted by stroke, brain injury, or neurological conditions.

  • Restores swallowing safety: Speech therapy also addresses swallowing difficulties (dysphagia), helping reduce the risk of choking or aspiration pneumonia.

Dysphagia Treatment (Swallowing Therapy)

Evaluates and treats difficulty with chewing and swallowing safely, often due to stroke, Parkinson’s disease, or head and neck cancer. (Evaluation and treatment are always conducted in person)
